Anora (Madison), a young Uzbek-American exotic dancer and sex worker from Brighton Beach, gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and impulsively marries Ivan (Eydelshteyn), the son of a Russian oligarch. But once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as her new husband’s parents travel to New York to get the marriage annulled.
