The Irish have their shamrock, the English their rose, and the French their fleur-de-lis, but in Brooklyn, where all nationalities fuse, forsythia is the official flower. Forsythia Day was a major event in Brooklyn each spring from 1949 to 2009. Now come enjoy Forsythia Night to learn more about Brooklyn's Flower and the Montauk Club members who graced our fair borough with the golden blooms whose spiritual message of unity, brotherhood and understanding is so necessary today.
