Park Slope Singers – Sunday March 25th at 3:30pm

The Montauk Club welcomes back the Park Slope Singers, now in their 25th season, to present a selection of works reflecting beginnings, creation, evolution, and the nature of human achievement.   This concert is open to the public at no charge.

Bob Chilcott’s “Five Days that Changed the World” reflects on inventions and triumphs of the human spirit.  Rarely have emotions and memories been so roused simply by voices in song; the soaring melodies genuinely bring to mind the feeling of flight, the joy of discovery, and the wonder of exploration in the way this evocative music stimulates the mind.  Other selections will include works by Brahms, Stephen Paulus and Jean Ritchie, adding up to an eclectic musical mix.

Under the direction of Tim Parsons, with Balint Varga on piano, the Park Slope Singers hope you will enjoy this interesting repertoire.
