Member Artwork Graces Newly Remodeled MC Card Room.
“Clubhouse Day” and “Night,” by club member Earl Black, are the latest additions to the newly renovated Card Room at the Montauk Club. Come visit this luxurious, intimate space – play games, have a cocktail, or just read a book.
A signed, limited edition of 100 Clubhouse giclee prints are available for sale on a first come, first served basis — proceeds will benefit to the Friends of the Montauk Club. Each is printed on acid-free Arches art paper and fits into a standard 11″ X 14″ mat and frame. They are $60 each or $100 for the pair (unframed). Ask Sarah Epps, the Club Receptionist, for details.
Earl Black is a self-taught artist, born and raised in Hawaii, transplanted to Brooklyn. His artwork — primarily landscapes, interiors and street scenes in oil paint, stick and pastel — ruminate on everyday experiences such as a walk in the park, buying produce, driving in the rain. His subjects are recognizable but expressive and animated, brimming with personality.
